Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
MathTestReview.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates an online K-12 math test review platform that enables teachers to create practice reviews for their students. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our website and services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By creating an account or using MathTestReview.com, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you are a teacher enrolling students under the age of 13, please also review our Children's Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and role (teacher, student, or administrator). Teachers may optionally connect a Google account for single sign-on. We collect this information through Clerk, our authentication provider.
Usage and Educational Data
As you use the Platform, we collect data necessary to deliver the educational service:
- Quiz responses and answers submitted during practice sessions
- Progress data, including questions attempted per topic and percent correct by category
- Class membership and review assignments (which reviews have been assigned to which students)
- Session activity data (which reviews were opened and when)
This data is used solely to display progress to the student and their teacher. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.
Payment Information
Pro plan subscriptions are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never receive or store your full credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment credentials. Stripe provides us with a limited token and the last four digits of your card for display purposes only. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
PDF Uploads
Teachers on the Pro or Campus plan may upload test PDFs to request custom review builds. These files are stored securely in Supabase file storage and are accessible only to our internal administrative team for the purpose of building practice questions. PDF files are never shared with other teachers, students, or third parties. Please refer to our Terms of Service for information about how submitted content is used to build the shared question bank.
Automatically Collected Information
Our servers and hosting infrastructure (Railway) collect standard server logs, including IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps, for security monitoring and debugging purposes. We do not use server log data for marketing or behavioral profiling. We use session cookies for authentication only — see Section 9.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account and authenticate your identity
- Deliver the Platform's core functionality: review assignments, quiz sessions, and progress tracking
- Allow teachers to view the progress of students enrolled in their classes
- Send transactional emails via Resend (account confirmation, review assignment notifications, billing receipts, and password resets). We do not send marketing emails.
- Process subscription payments through Stripe
- Respond to support requests submitted to [email protected]
- Monitor for security incidents, abuse, and technical errors
- Improve the Platform based on aggregated, de-identified usage patterns
We do not use your information to serve advertisements, build advertising profiles, or sell your data to third parties under any circumstances.
5. Student Data (FERPA)
MathTestReview.com is committed to compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). We act as a “school official” with a legitimate educational interest, as that term is defined under FERPA, when processing student data on behalf of a teacher or school.
- Student educational data (quiz responses, progress, class assignments) is used only to provide the educational review service and to allow teachers to track their students' progress.
- We do not use student data for advertising or to build commercial profiles.
- Teachers control which students are enrolled in their classes and which reviews are assigned.
- Student data is not shared with other teachers, students, or third parties beyond the service providers described in Section 4.
- For students under 13, please see our Children's Privacy Policy for our COPPA compliance practices.
6. Data Retention

- Account deletion: When you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify all personal information associated with your account within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Student progress data: We retain quiz response and progress data to support educational continuity. Upon account deletion or teacher request, student data is purged.

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
- Data at rest is encrypted by Supabase, our database and storage provider.
- Authentication and session management is handled by Clerk, which uses industry-standard credential hashing and session token practices.
- Access to the administrative backend and student data is restricted to authorized staff only.
- We do not store passwords — Clerk manages credential storage.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at [email protected].
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes — such as collecting new categories of personal information or sharing data with new types of parties — we will notify registered users by email at the address associated with their account before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of a revised policy constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Non-material updates (such as clarifications to existing practices or fixing typographical errors) will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
